LAHORE, September 15: GREE Electric Appliances Inc. has been ranked the world’s No. 1 brand by sales volume of premium residential air conditioners in 2025, according to a Market Position Statement issued by global research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan in July 2026.
The ranking places GREE at the top of the premium residential air-conditioning segment, which Frost & Sullivan defines as units priced within the top 20 percent of air conditioners sold in their respective regional markets.
Products in this category typically compete on factors including energy efficiency, quieter operation, smart features, design and build quality rather than price alone.
GREE attributed its position in the premium segment to sustained investment in research and development across compressor technology, system engineering, artificial intelligence and acoustics.
According to information shared by the company, GREE currently holds 50 independently assessed world-leading technologies. Its AI-based energy management technology can improve annual energy efficiency by up to 23 percent, while its SilenzX series is designed to operate at indoor noise levels as low as 15 dB(A).
The SilenzX technology also received a Gold Medal at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, the company said.
GREE has also developed compressor technologies designed for operation in extreme-heat conditions, an increasingly important consideration for air-conditioning markets exposed to prolonged periods of high temperatures.
In Pakistan, GREE has been present since 2005 through DWP Group, its sole distributor and official brand partner in the country.
The company said air conditioners supplied to the Pakistani market incorporate inverter technology designed to provide cooling during severe summer temperatures, operate under low-voltage conditions and reduce electricity consumption.
DWP Group provides nationwide after-sales support for the brand through its DWP Care service network.
The latest global ranking comes as energy efficiency, cooling performance and electricity costs increasingly influence air-conditioner purchasing decisions, particularly in markets such as Pakistan where households face high summer temperatures and pressure from rising power costs.
